The Babbaluci way
Babbaluci takes its name from the Sicilian word for snail. A small creature, yes, but one with the right idea: move slowly, carry home with you, and notice what is around you.
That spirit guides everything we are building. We restore small homes in Liguria’s historic towns and turn them into comfortable, design-led stays for travellers who want to feel at home without missing the joy of being somewhere new.
Our first homes begin in Ventimiglia Alta, with more Babbaluci stays planned across the region. Slowly, of course.
Stay Slowly in Ventimiglia Alta
The medieval village offers several free public parking areas nearby, including Piazzale Funtanin and Piazza Colletta, both within easy walking distance from the homes. Alternatively, guests can use the Cala del Forte private parking garage, conveniently located next to the public lift that provides direct access to the medieval village.
Each Babbaluci home is restored with comfort, authenticity, and a little touch of fun. Arrive, unpack, and settle in.

A one-bedroom apartment for 2-4 guests, almost ready for its first slow stays from early July.

Ventimiglia Train Station is just a 15-minute walk away. From Piazza della Costituente, follow the pedestrian tunnel to the public lift, which takes you directly into the heart of the medieval village.

The beaches, marina, and town centre are just a few minutes away via the public lift connecting Ventimiglia Alta with the lower town.
